  1. Install Tooling (F) to planetary carrier (109). Attach Tooling (F) to a suitable lifting device and a hoist.
  1. Use Tooling (F) and the hoist to remove planetary carrier (109) from the sun gear. The weight of planetary carrier (109) is 57 kg (125 lb).

  1. Remove two seal rings (114) from sun gear (115) .

  1. Position hub (117) and sun gear (115), as shown.
  1. Use eight 1/8 inch diameter cotter pins to compress retaining ring (116) into hub (117) .
  1. Separate hub (117) from sun gear (115) .
  1. Remove retaining ring (116) from sun gear (115) .
  1. Remove retaining ring (116) from hub (117). Remove hub (117) from sun gear (115) .

  1. Position bearing retainer (119) in a suitable press. Use Tooling (M) and a suitable hoist to remove ball bearing (118) from bearing retainer (119) .

  1. Use a suitable drift to remove spring pin (120) from planetary carrier (109) .
  1. Remove planetary shaft assembly (121), two thrust discs (122), two caged bearings (123), and gear (124) from planetary carrier (109) .
  1. Repeat Steps 103 and 104 for the remaining three planetary shaft assemblies.

  1. Use Tool (L) to remove retaining ring (125) from the shaft assembly.
  1. Remove six dowels (126) from the clutch housing.

  1. Install Tooling (F) to planetary carrier (130). Attach Tooling (F) to a suitable lifting device and a hoist.
  1. Use Tooling (F) and the hoist to remove planetary carrier (130) and clutch piston (131) from the shaft assembly as a unit. The weight of planetary carrier (130) and clutch piston (131) as a unit is 64 kg (140 lb).
