  1. Install Tooling (F) to hub (75). Attach Tooling (F) to a suitable lifting device and a hoist.
  1. Use Tooling (F) and the hoist to remove hub (75) and sun gear (76) from the planetary carrier as a unit. The weight of hub (75) and sun gear (76) as a unit is 23 kg (50 lb).

  1. Use eight 1/8 inch diameter cotter pins to compress retaining ring (78) (not shown) into hub (75) .
  1. Separate hub (75) from sun gear (76) .
  1. Remove the retaining ring (78) from hub (75) .

  1. Install Tooling (F) to planetary carrier (80). Attach Tooling (F) to a suitable lifting device and a hoist.
  1. Use Tooling (F) and the hoist to remove planetary carrier (80) from the ring gear. The weight of planetary carrier (80) is 102 kg (225 lb).

  1. Use a suitable drift to remove spring pin (81) from planetary shaft assembly (82) .
  1. Remove planetary shaft assembly (82), two thrust discs (83), two bearings (84), and gear (85) from planetary carrier (80) .
  1. Repeat Steps 67 and 68 for the remaining three planetary gears.

  1. Install Tooling (G) to clutch housing (91). Attach Tooling (G) to a suitable lifting device and a hoist.

Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

  1. Use Tooling (G) and the hoist in order to remove clutch housing (91) and clutch piston (92) as a unit. The weight of clutch housing (91) and clutch piston (92) as a unit is 120 kg (265 lb).
