Sport in Our Republic
Physical culture and sport occupy an essential part in my life because if you want to feel fit you must go in for one kind of sport or another. Every morning all the year round I do my morning exercises. Almost every day I do some training. In summer I go swimming or rowing and in winter I ski or skate. I also go in for track-and-field athletics.
Sport holds an important place in our life. Sports help people to keep in good health. Physical culture and sports in our Republic are part of our cultural and public life.
All kinds of sport are very popular in our Republic. We have got a lot of sports facilities at our disposal: stadiums, gymnasiums, sports grounds, sport clubs and sections, swimming pools, skating-rinks, siding centres. People of the Republic go in for different kinds of sport, such as water-sports, gymnastics, fencing, wrestling, boxing, basketball, football, volleyball, tennis, ice-hockey, jumping, hiking, etc.
All kinds of competitions and festivals are held every year in our Republic. Sport makes us healthy and strong and it is a good way for making friends.

Of all outdoor games I prefer football. I like to watch football matches at the stadium or on TV. 1 never miss a single match played by my favourite football team, for I'm a football fan. I also take a great interest in chess. I follow closely all the tournaments and especially those for the world championship.
