One SDH optical interface board provides different optical transmitting module for different transmission distance. The board should be selected based on the distance and attenuation between nodes during networking. Thus, avoid the receiver optical power below the receiver sensitivity or overload.
In a long-haul transmission, configure the optical amplifier boards such as JBA2, JBPA and JDCU based on the transmission distance.

Normally, JBA2, JBPA and dispersion compensation unit (DCU) are used together with the long-haul optical transmitting module to support long distance transmission without regeneration. Here are the configuration requirements of the optical amplifier board:
n The optical transmitting module with L-64.2b optical interface should work with JBA2.
n The optical transmitting module with V-64.2b optical interface should work with JBA2, JBPA and JDCU.
n The optical transmitting module with U-16.2b optical interface should work with JBA2 and JBPA.

This kind of service (such as extra service) will be preempted by services at higher priority when the network resource is insufficient. |
Caution:
The OptiX OSN 9500 has no paired slot restriction. That is, any two optical interfaces of an SDH board can form a ring network. However, it is not recommended to form a ring using the optical interfaces at one board.

To avoid mutual effect, set the SNCP delay time longer than 50 ms, which is the switching time of MSP. |
