C.4 Jitter Performance Indices

C.4.1 STM-N Interface Output Jitter of SDH Equipment

The STM-N interface output jitter of the SDH equipment refers to the intrinsic jitter at the STM-N optical output interface, measured over a 60-second interval in the absence of input jitter at the synchronization interface. The indices of the STM-N interface output jitter for the OptiX OSN 9500 are in line with relevant requirements, as shown in Table C-20.

C.4.2 Jitter and Wander Tolerance of STM-N Input Interface of SDH Equipment

The SDH line terminal and regenerator can tolerate the input jitter amount that would not cause performance deterioration. The indices of jitter and wander tolerances at the STM-N interfaces for the OptiX OSN 9500 are in line with relevant requirement, as shown in Table C-21.
