Installing the Cabinet on the ESD Protection Floor. Positioning the Cabine. Positioning an Independently Installed Cabinet. Positioning a Cabinet Close to Another One, страница 5

Step

Operation

1

Screw off 3 pan head screws on a foot assembly at the bottom of the cabinet to demount the foot assembly, as shown in Figure 3-13. Repeat the action to demount the other 3 foot assemblies.

& Note:

If the feet have been installed on the cabinet before delivery, demount them before installing the cabinet.

2

Lay insulation plates on the slide rail below the cabinet (two insulation plates for each cabinet), as shown in Figure 3-14 (a).

3

Place the cabinet on the support. In doing so, three persons are needed because the cabinet is heavy. The cabinet should be arranged in such a direction as required in the engineering design drawing. It should be placed close to the adjacent equipment, and aligned with the latter to form a straight line at the side of main path.

 Caution:

In installing the cabinet side by side with another one of a different type and size, first install its side panels.

4

Add gaskets between the insulation plates and the support to adjust the levelness of the cabinet, as shown in Figure 3-14 (b). Place a gradienter respectively at the two directions that are vertical to each other on the top of the cabinet to see whether the cabinet is placed in perfect levelness.

 Caution:

Inserting the gasket for leveling purpose between the insulation plates and the cabinet cannot guarantee insulation between the cabinet and the floor.

5

Cover the bolt M12 x 35 with an insulation washer. Insert it vertically, through the lower enclosure frame of the cabinet, into the connecting hole of the slide rail, and equip it with a flat washer and a nut, as shown in Figure 3-14 (c). Each cabinet should be fixed with 4 bolts. Tighten the bolts with a force of up to 45 N·m.

6

 Caution:

Tighten the bolts alternatively to reduce the stress between them and the cabinet.

7

Measure the resistance between the support and the cabinet. The normal resistance should be larger than 5 MW. If the measured resistance is less than 5 MW, demount the cabinet and check the insulation components. Then repeat the operations from step 2.

8

Fix the horizontal pallet and side pallets to the support with bolts M12 x 35, as shown in Figure 3-15.

9

Cut and restore the ESD floor according to the peripheral circumstances of the cabinet.

3.5  Installation Check Points

The properly installed cabinet should meet the following requirements:

n  The cabinet is placed according to the engineering design drawing.

n  All bolts for fixing the support and floor, and the support and cabinet are installed correctly and firmly. The sequence for installing the spring washer and flat washer is correct.

n  If the support and cabinet are accompanied by insulation parts, insulation between the support and cabinet should meet the requirements. If the user makes a mount base, it should be insulated from the floor or cabinet.

n  All cabinets are arranged closely and neatly, with the vertical deviation of less than 3 mm.

n  After the doors (facing the main path) of the cabinet are installed, they are aligned in a line with a horizontal deviation of less than 5 mm.

n  Surfaces of the racks in a row are on the same plane. The cabinets are arranged closely and neatly in a line.

n  All bolts on the cabinet are equipped with flat washers and spring washers, and all are screwed tight.

n  No part of the cabinet is distorted, affecting the appearance of the cabinet.
