In hospital
Without any doubt health is the most important thing in our life. But sometimes despite all your efforts towards being health it lets you down and them you have to go to hospital.
There are plenty of reasons to be ordered to go to hospital but the most widespread are an operation or special treatment provided only in hospital. The first case isn’t a very pleasant procedure because surgical operation is always a stress for your body. Moreover, any anesthetic influences you from bad side so you have to take a rest and recover.
In the second case it’s quite all right, nevertheless spending some time in hospital, waking up early in the morning, eating hospital’s food is not pleasant at all. It happens that sometimes you have to be hospitalized for a long time, so I guess it may seem like being in prison. Sometimes you have to be in quarantine and feel lonely and it’s always pretty scary for everyone who cares of his health. It’s always boring in hospitals so as for me I would try to avoid going to hospital by any means. It’s not easy to get used to keeping to an order of day in hospital though everybody manages to do that. As you can see, nothing pleasant.
In general, the system of health care service is free of charge in this country. And as we don’t have any insurance system any citizen may receive any medical treatment in hospital. Certainly, since the government takes all the health expenditures, health services leave much to be desired. Unfortunately this kind of occupation is paid not that much as it should be, especially taking into consideration the responsibility that doctors take. Still, not having the alternative we have to deal with all the disadvantages in this sphere.
As I’ve already mentioned, there’s a wide range of medical services you can get, that’s why there’re plenty of establishments which provide treatment of any health problem that can exist.
The proverb says prevention is better than cure. It’s hard to disagree. Well, I believe it’s rather natural to dislike hospitals and put off getting in them (поступать в них) as much as possible, but when there’s nothing you can do about it your common sense should prevail all the disadvantages of staying in hospital.
At least in this way I thought the last summer when I was supposed to be operated on. It wasn’t a case of emergency so before getting into clinic I had to undergo several tests. Then, I was admitted to a hospital. A nurse told me some restrictions what i was allowed to do and what not. Finally I was provided to my ward. Besides a bed there was a bed table, a chair and three more men. Fortunately the operation went successfully and after two days I was discharged from hospital and went back home.
While being there the boredom disturbed me most of all. I mean, there was no pastime at all and that was the main problem as for me.
You must’ve understood that staying in hospital isn’t the thing I’d like to experience again, so I advise to stick to a proverb prevention is better than cure.
