Safety Precautions. This section introduces part of safety precautions which should be followed during the installation and maintenance of Huawei-developed network equipment, страница 3

The battery in use will release the flammable gas. So battery should be stored at the place with good ventilation and fireproofing measure should be taken.

3.4 High Temperature

 Advice

Too high temperature of battery may result in the distortion, damage and electrolyte overflow of battery.

When the battery temperature exceeds 60 0C, it should be checked whether there is electrolyte overflowing;

In case there is electrolyte overflowing, the treatment for acid liquid should be taken in time.

3.5 Acid Liquid

 Advice

When there is acid liquid overflowing, the liquid should be absorbed and the acid liquid should be neutralized with alkali in time.

When the leaking battery is moved and taken away, the hidden hazard of the acid liquid should be paid attention to. Once it is found that acid liquid is overflowing, the following substances can be used to neutralize and absorb it:

Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda): NaHCO3

Sodium carbonate (pure caustic soda): Na2CO3

Various antacids should be used depending on the guide of battery supplier.

4. Microwave

 Warning

High-intensity radio-frequency signal is harmful for human body.

On the steel tower and mast equipped with multiple transmitting antennae, when the near end installation and maintenance are made for a specific antenna, the coordination work should be done in advance and the transmitter of the antenna should be switched off.

5. Laser

 Warning

Laser beam inside optical fiber will injure your eyes.

When the installation and maintenance operations of the optical fiber are performed, it is prohibited strictly to be close to or view optical fiber outlet directly with naked eye.

6. Overhead Work

 Warning

During overhead work, be cautious to prevent object from falling.

Overhead work should comply with the following requirements:

n  Overhead operator must be trained.

n  Operating machines and tools should be carried safely to avoid falling.

n  Make safety protection work ready, helmet and safety belt should be worn.

n  In cold area, heat retaining clothes should be worn before overhead operation.

n  All lifting appliances should be checked before overhead operation.

7. Miscellaneous

7.1 Lifting Weight

 Warning

When lifting weight, it is prohibited to stand or walk under the suspension arm and the lifted weight.

7.2 Sharp Object

 Warning

When equipment is carried by hand, the protection glove should be worn to prevent the hand from being injured by sharp object.

7.3 Plug/unplug Board

 Advice

When plugging in board, do not push it with too much force to avoid distorting the pins on motherboard.

Plug in board along the slot guide, avoid the circuit face of the board contacting with other board resulting in short-circuit or scratch.

When holding board in hand, do not touch the board circuit, component, connector and slot.

7.4 Binding Signal Lines

 Advice

Signal lines should be bound separately from strong current line or high voltage line, The space interval of the binding should be a minimum of 150mm.
