n  During drilling, pay attention to protect your eyes. The mental chills spattering may injure your eyes.

n  Pay more attention to prevent metal chills from entering the cabinet.

n  Non-standard drilling operation may damage the electromagnetic shielding performance of the cabinet.

n  After drilling, please clean the mental chills in time.

2.5 Thunderstorm

 Danger

Strictly prohibit performing high voltage and AC operations, high-altitude operation on steel tower and mast on thunderstorm day.

On thunderstorm day, atmosphere will generate high-intensity electromagnetic field. Therefore, in order to prevent equipment from being damaged by electric shock, the grounding measure should be taken in time.

2.6 Static Electricity

 Caution

The static electricity generated by human body may damage the static-sensitive components on the circuit board, such as large scale integrated circuit (IC), etc.

Under the conditions that human body moves, clothes friction, the friction between shoes and ground or ordinary plastic in hand, human body will generate static electromagnetic field which will remain in the human body for quite a long time.

When touching equipment, e.g., before plugging board, circuit board and IC chip etc. are held in hand, anti-electrostatic wrist strap should be worn to prevent the static in human body from damaging sensitive element, and the other end of the anti-electrostatic wrist strap should be in good grounding.

3. Battery

 Danger

Before the operation for battery is done, the safety precautions of carrying battery and the proper connecting method of battery must be read carefully.

Non-standard operation for battery may result in danger. During operation, operator must prevent battery from short-circuit or prevent electrolyte from overflowing and leaking. Electrolyte overflow may cause the potential trouble on equipment, which will corrode mental part and circuit board and result in the damage of equipment and short-circuit of circuit board. 

3.1 General Operation

Before the operations of battery installation and maintenance, for the sake of safety, the following points should be paid attention to:

n  Strictly prohibit to wear such mental articles as watch, hand chain, bracelet and ring, etc.

n  Use special isolation tools.

n  Use eyes protector and take precautions.

n  Use elastic gloves and wear the apron for preventing electrolyte from overflowing.

n  During transportation, battery should always be kept its electrode front upwards. Bottom-up and inclination condition are strongly prohibited.

3.2 Short-circuit

 Advice

Battery short-circuiting may result in personal injury. Though the voltage of a general battery is quite low, high transient current which is generated by short-circuit will release large amounts of power.

Avoid metal object causing short-circuit of battery circuit. For example, the short-circuit resulted from improper usage of tools. If permitted, first disconnect the battery in use and then perform other operations.

3.3 Harmful Gas

 Advice

Unsealed lead-acid battery should not be used, because the gas sent from the battery may result in inflammation or equipment corrosion. The battery should be laid horizontally and fixed.
