Marking of mats

  Reinforcement mats are marked by the following designations:

d

xC ------- b´  l

d₁

where x is a type of the mat;

C is a letter that designates an entitlement of the mat (the “r” index is added

for rolled mats, Cr);

d, d₁ are the respective diameters of the longitudinal and transverse rebars with an indication

of a reinforcement steel class;

b, l are the respective width and length of the mat in centimeters.

The mark of a mat may provide also this additional information:

·  a rebar spacing in millimeters (after a dash) — for light-weight mats and for heavy-weight mats of type 3 with the main spacing of the longitudinal rebars of 400 mm, after the rebar’s diameter

·  values of a matching spacing of the longitudinal or transverse rebars over or under a stroke, respectively, in millimeters (in parentheses) — for mats with a matching spacing

For mats with the free lengths of the transverse and longitudinal bars other than 25 mm,

the marking of the mat is supplemented by the following after the length of the mat:

where а₁, а₂ are free lengths of the longitudinal bars (when а₁ = а₂ , only one value is given)

in millimeters;

а is a value of the free lengths of the transverse bars in millimeters.

Examples of designations:

1)  a heavy-weight mat of type 1 with longitudinal bars of the class A-III reinforcement steel of the diameter

of 25 mm, with the spacing of 200 mm, and with transverse bars of the class A-III reinforcement steel, of

the diameter of 10 mm, the spacing of 600 mm, the width of 2050 mm, and the length of 6650 mm, with

the free lengths of the longitudinal and transverse bars of 25 mm:

2)    a flat light-weight mat of type 4 with longitudinal bars of the class A-IIICreinforcement steel, of the diameter

of 10 mm, and with transverse bars of the class Vr-I reinforcement wire, of the diameter of 5 mm, the spacing

of the longitudinal and transverse bars of 100 mm, the width of 2550 mm, and the length of 6050 mm, with

the free lengths of the longitudinal and transverse bars of 25 mm:

3)  a rolled mat of type 5, with longitudinal and transverse bars made of the class Vr-I reinforcement wire of

the diameter of 5 mm, the spacing of longitudinal bars of 200 mm and the matching spacing of 100 mm,

with the spacing of transverse bars of 150 mm, the width of 2340 mm, and the length of 120000 mm, with

the free lengths of longitudinal bars of 125 and 175 mm, the free lengths of transverse bars of 20 mm:
