  1. Remove 12 socket head bolts (10) and the washers from gear (9) .
  1. Remove gear (9) .
  1. Remove two dowels (63) from differential housing (58) .

  1. Remove two bolts (14) and the washers from tube assembly (11). Remove two clips (13) from tube assembly (11) .
  1. Remove locking bolt (70), block (69) and the washer. Remove clip (13) .
  1. Remove tube assembly (11) from adjusting ring (12) and tee (17) .
  1. Remove bolt (14) and the washer from tube assembly (16). Remove clip (13) from tube assembly (16) .
  1. Remove tube assembly (16) from adjusting ring (15) and tee (17) .

  1. Remove three bolts (68) and the washers that are holding gear shroud assembly (19). Remove gear shroud assembly (19) .
  1. Remove bolt (23) and the washer that is holding plate (20) on cap (24) and adjusting ring (12) .
  1. Repeat Step 16 in order to remove the plate on cap (61) (not shown) and adjusting ring (15) (not shown).
  1. Remove four cap bolts (22) and the washers. Remove bracket (21) .
  1. Remove cap (24) from bearing cage assembly (74) .
  1. Repeat Step 19 for cap (61) (not shown) and bearing cage assembly (25) (not shown).
  1. Loosen adjusting ring (12) by using Tooling (B) (not shown). Loosen adjusting ring (15) (not shown) by using Tooling (A) (not shown).

  1. Use a suitable hoist in order to remove differential assembly (26) from the differential carrier assembly. The weight of differential assembly (26) is 272 kg (600 lb).
  1. Remove bearing cage assembly (25) (not shown) from differential assembly (26). Remove bearing cage assembly (74) from differential assembly (26). Place differential assembly (26) in a suitable fixture.

  1. Place bearing cage assembly (74) and bearing cage assembly (25) on a table, as shown.
  1. Use Tooling (B) (not shown) in order to remove adjusting ring (12). Use a suitable driver and a suitable press in order to remove roller bearing cup (67) (not shown) from bearing cage (74). Use Tooling (A) (not shown) in order to remove adjusting ring (15). Use a suitable driver and a suitable press in order to remove roller bearing cup (75) (not shown) from bearing cage (25).

  1. Replace cap (61) and cap (24). Replace four bolts (22) and the washers. Remove dowel (59) (not shown) from cap (61). Remove dowel (59) (not shown) from cap (24) .
