2 System Structure

This chapter covers the hardware and software structure of the OptiX OSN 9500.

2.1  Hardware Structure

2.1.1  Cabinet and Its Accessories

The OptiX OSN 9500 uses the ETS 300 119-compliant cabinet, which meets the European telecommunications standards institute (ETSI) standard. The cabinet specifications are as follows:

n  2200 mm (H) x 600 mm (W) x 600 mm (D)

n  2600 mm (H) x 600 mm (W) x 600 mm (D)

The cabinet comprises rack, front door, rear door, cover, side plate, plastic front panel and bundling components, as shown in Figure 2-1.

There is lots of mounting screw holes distributing evenly (with a length of 25 mm between each other) at both sides of the rack, through which, the subrack is positioned and secured in the cabinet. There are also bundling components for cabling at both sides of the cabinet.

2.  Fan Tray Assembly

The OptiX OSN 9500 employs two fan tray assemblies, as shown in Figure 2-2 and Figure 2-3.

2.1.3  Boards
