Thermal deaerators for the power plants and industrial power engineering

All types of works on up-dating of the thermal deaerators of different types and purposes are fulfilled in the Joint Stock Company “NPO CKTI”.

Deaerators of all type dimension lines (vacuum, atmospheric and high pressure) for the thermal and nuclear power plants, various boiler rooms, heat and hot water supply systems and other CHP units are commercially manufactured on the developments of the Association, at the power machine building plants.

The deaerators are successfully operated at the power facilities in Russia, in CIS and abroad.

The developments rely on the “NPO CKTI” 40ty year’s experience; the norms requirements, the conditions of the power unit design and operation, the traditions of the equipment native producers are also accounted.

The production of the vacuum and atmospheric pressure deaerators is brought to commercial level in the “NPO CKTI”.

The deaerator arrangement, construction and scheme decisions are improved constantly.

The high quality of developments, production, the deaerator reliable operation in the rated region of thermal and hydraulic loadings is quaranted.

Up-dating and investigation of steam turbine regeneration systems

The following up-dated schemes of turbine set regeneration systems with completing equipment were developed and introduced. Their introduction into the commercial practice provided the reliability and efficiency increase and reduction of the equipment units:

The scheme without deaerator and corresponding starting–up schemes of K-200; T-250/300; K-300; T-180; K-500; K-800 turbine sets (efficiency increase by 3%; the booster and drain pumps and corresponding accessory are reduced up to 50 units).

Regeneration system of K-200 turbine set – LP heater – 4, drain cooler of LP heater – 3, drain pumps and corresponding accessory (30 units) are eliminated; main condensate overcooling in the condenser is also excluded (efficiency increase by 0,2 – 0,3% ).

Regeneration system of T-100 (110) turbine set – LP heaters–1 and–2 are operating without the level control; the return solenoid valves, control valves and regeneration systems for the LP heater-3 and completing accessory are eliminated.

Regeneration system of T-180 turbine set – the contact LP heaters –1 and –2 are excluded; the number of pumps is reduced from 14 to 6; the number of completing accessory and devices are also decreased ( efficiency increase by 1,2% ).

Control valves (for LP and HP heaters) with the linear characteristic and small erosion wear.

Collector heaters of high pressure and HP regeneration system in the 50-1200 MW turbine set:

Protection and level control system, excluding the instrumental error;

The scheme of steam-gas mixture bleeding off, decreasing the steam losses 4-6 times and excluding the bleed-off pipe erosion and wear;

The scheme of steam flow in the steam coolers, reducing the steam resistance in the steam coolers and water underheating behind the high pressure heater by 2-3 oC;

The scheme of condensate receiving in the condensate cooler, decreasing the case flange temperature difference in dynamic regimes from 30-45 to 3-6 oC;

The tube inlet section constructions decreasing the erosion-corrosion wear.

Direct contact heat exchanger development and investigation

The Joint Stock Company “NPO CKTI” has a 30ty year's experience in the field of investigations, development and introduction of the direct contact low pressure heaters for the steam turbine regeneration systems.

At present, in the Association there were developed more that 100 turbines of capacity from 200 to 1000 MW, with the combined regeneration system and vacuum LPH of the direct contact type. These arrangements provide the high efficiency and reliability of the turboset, and additional condensate deaeration in the power unit feed path. The arrangement constructions developed in the laboratory and protection systems, excluding the water leakage into the turbine, have no analogues in the world practice.

The evaporation arrangements of different capacity with the steam and electric boilers for evaporation of sewage sludge were developed.

The mechanical filters of the capacity from 10 to 4000 m3/h for the water cleaning were also developed; now, they are operating successfully. Their specific features are: low hydraulic resistance, simple construction, cleaning with the help of steam, superheating water, compressed air and water backward flow without the filter dismounting.

The efficiency of water mechanical cleaning can be changed according to the customer request.

Surface heat exchangers for industrial power engineering

The development of design plans and specification on the new and improved types of water-to-water and steam-water heat exchangers, water and fuel oil heaters, coolers of condensate, turbine and transformer oil, drier air, condensers of the worked out and rejected steam, surface heaters of hot water etc is realized in NPO CKTI.

The developments account the technology and traditions of the native producers, the equipment operation conditions in the schemes and systems at the Russia facilities. The said developments provide the production of the equipment competitive with the foreign analogues.

The equipment developments are based on the 50ty years experience of Association in the field of norms unification and standartization, on the rig test results and data, obtained in the boiler rooms, at the combined heat and power plants, power plants, nuclear power plants etc.
