Fig. 7 illustrates rotor speed, output load power, output load voltage, a turn-off angle, a load current at work SRM in a generator RLC-load mode with the classical converter, disabled and enabled feedback. The regulator set voltage makes U=14V.

Fig. 8 illustrates SRM generator mode processes in the circuit with the suppression resistor converter (the simplified converter), disabled and enabled feedback. The regulator set voltage makes U=14V.

As shown in Fig. 8, that due to reduction in a turn-off angle adjustment of generator output power is reached. For both topology of converters generator output power makes about kilowatts and turns out rather high in comparison with the traditional generators used now in motor industry.

The conclusion

By development of the combined starter - generating system switched reluctance machines basis, proceeding from the requirements showed to each unit separately, have been designed overall dimensions SRM, parameters of windings of phases. For this SRM the magnetization curves used further at imitating modelling is constructed. During the experiences put at modelling, it is established, that use of the simplified voltage converter topology (suppression resistor converter) by virtue of smaller losses on switch elements, and also the simplified circuit of formation of enabling pulses. However the simplified topology of the converter is not the best choice for work SRM in a generator mode. The classical converter provides higher output power; output power of the generator in aggregate with the simplified converter strongly depends on resistance of the suppression resistor.

The starter – generator with feedback, the shaper of enabling pulses, a PI – control, it is supposed to realize the circuit of management on the basis of the high-speed microcontroller. A task of the microcontroller also is processing of signals from the position sensor of a cranked shaft which can be executed by separate functional unit. But the optimum decision is use of the available position sensor used in modern of injector fuel internal–combustion engines.

The high weight - 15 kg is a disadvantage of the incorporated starter - generator. But by virtue of that half from them is a weight of a rotor, reduction of weight of a flywheel is possible, or performance of the device of coupling is direct on a SRM rotor.
