RESEARCH PLAN

1.  Andrey Papkov, Novosibirsk State Agrarian University, Post-graduate student.

2.  Perimetric heating of soil in the hothouse:

    1. to preparation of the research program;
    2. to design a mathematical model of temperature field;
    3. to develop a methodology for the pilot study;
    4. to prepare the experiment.

3.  The purpose of research is to work out a perimetric system of electric heating of soil in hothouses in spring providing uniform warmth over the soil and consequently, equal productivity per each sq. meter.

4.  Methods:

    1. calculation method;
    2. method of modeling;
    3. experimental measurements.

Materials:

a.  heating metallized wire;

b.  indicators of energy;

c.  digital thermometer.

5.  Providing a uniform warmth over the soil and consequently, equal productivity per each sq. meter.

6.  Expected results:

    1. to study the level of competence in perimetric system of electric heating of soil in hothouses abroad;
    2. to investigate temperature fields in experiment.

7.  Expected cooperation:

    1. literature review on research;
    2. research with real heating system of hothouse.

8.  Further implementation of the results of training at the Host University:

    1. to design a mathematical model of temperature field;
    2. to deduce the equation of  thermal balance;
    3. to develop a rational system of perimetric heating of soil of individual hothouses for Southern areas of Siberia.
